An update... FINALLY!!!

Happy 2008 all,

Well for starters I've been doing a ton of work for Major League Baseball. I love their projects even though sometimes they drive me a little nuts. It's really interesting translating the costumed mascots into actual licensable (is that a word?) cartoon characters. It's a challenge but lots of fun. Also in the works is a graphic novel project. I can't speak on that but it's for kids and it's way cool. I can't wait for people to see it. Let's see... what else... Ah! In April I'll be starting the art for several puzzle books that will be carried in some major retail locations. Another cool project that I have dropping this summer is a collection of original clipart. Several collections actually. They will be sold through a site called clipartthatdoesntsuck.com. It will launch in June or July hopefully. This will be the first venture of my new company XmasArts Media LLC. The next few months will be exciting to say the least and I will chronicle the whole thing right here so stay tuned. well that's about all for now. Stay safe. Later.

So I know it's been a while so here's the deal... I'm illustrating a 15 book series fo Simon Schuster. Here's a link to them on the SimonSays website... http://www.simonsays.com/content/destination.cfm?tab=1&pid=527025 . It's a pretty cool story for kids. The writing doesn't talk down to the kids. Treats them like they have brains. I was truly impressed.... so buy a bunch of them and keep me in comics and DVD's! Let's see... I'm also working on some stuff for 4Kids Entertainment. It's character art for a new Jim Henson property. Of course you know the drill, I can't show anything yet but it's a blast. I'm actually working with Hensons original designs. If you can't tell by now he was a hero of mine. The Nickelodeon stuff continues to come in as well so I've been up to my eyeballs in stuff. I'm trying to find time to update my site. I guess I'll just have to wait until things slow down a bit. Well that's it for now. I've posted a few of my last commercial jobs and art tests below. Peace!

Hey all,

Man have I been busy! I've been bluelining a ton of character art for Nickelodeon. Also, I'm redesigning the Arizona Diamond Backs mascot. That's been a lot of fun. I've submitted my sketches and now I'm waiting to hear back from MLB and the team. Keep your fingers crossed. I also designed the mascot for the Washington Nationals. So, if you hate that baby eagle I'm to blame. Hey art is relative! Well that's all for now. I have yet to begin the book that I plan to unveil at the NYC Comiccon. Crap, I have to get down to it... Anyway, stay safe.

Hey all,

Looks like I'm about to start some stuff for an interactive tv show on Nick Jr. I'll keep you posted as things progress.
in the meantime here's a quick airbrush peice I did to test out a new technique. I would usually take a peice like
this much further. I'm working on a full fledged sample using this technique that I will post soon. That's it for now.

It’s been a minute since I updated my news section. I’ve just been incredibly busy. I’ve been doing a ton of Nickelodeon character art as well as work for Major League Baseball. Throw my personal projects into the mix and it’s just been ridiculous but hey I’m not complaining a lot of artist would kill for steady work so I know I’m blessed.
